Samsung Caster, promoting growth and development of the domestic caster industry

‘Samsong Caster’, a company specializing in the manufacturing and sales of casters, wheels, and transport equipment, plans to participate in the ‘Korea Machinery Show’ held at KINTEX in Ilsan from October 24th to 27th and introduce new products.

‘Samsung Caster’ is a caster specialist company that has maintained its undisputed number one position with a market share of more than half, beating out low-priced Chinese products despite worsening domestic and international conditions such as decreased manufacturing efficiency, increased production costs, and a decreasing labor force.

The company is currently supplying high-quality casters to countries around the world, including Korea, the United States, Japan, Canada, and Southeast Asia, and is accelerating new business and global market conquest based on its Guangzhou, China factory as a representative company of Bupyeong Industrial Complex.

In particular, it is known that they have developed a noiseless caster for use on automobile production lines and are supplying it to major domestic automobile manufacturers and Japanese automobile manufacturers such as Toyota, Mitsubishi, and Nissan Motor Company.

In addition, it was the first in the domestic industry to obtain the ISO 9001, S (safety) mark and to produce medical device wheels that had been mainly imported from overseas, and received favorable reviews from leading domestic companies and general hospitals.

A representative of ‘Samsung Caster’ said, “Our goal is to continuously participate in exhibitions such as the Korea Machine Tool Show and introduce high-quality domestic casters to the industry,” and added, “We will also actively participate in various support projects for the continuous growth and development of the domestic caster industry, thereby promoting a better process environment, productivity improvement, quality control, and employee awareness reform.”

Meanwhile, since last August, Samsung Caster has been building a smart factory (MES: Manufacturing Execution System) and implementing manufacturing site innovation activities with the support of Incheon Creative Innovation Center and Samsung Electronics experts.

Among them, the ‘Smart Factory Construction Support Project’, which aims to transform the efficient operation, cost reduction, and quality management of the production process line into a customized program, is receiving a lot of attention from the industry as it is a program in which Samsung Electronics participates as a mentor.
